2. Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has launched a 100-day awareness campaign on the Goods and Services Tax reduction on medicines and medical devices. India has notified its first binding Green House Gas (GHG) emission intensity targets for aluminium, cement, chlor-alkali, and pulp & paper sectors under the GHG Emission Intensity Target Rules, 2025. 5. India’s Central Drug Regulator, CDSCO, has issued a notice inviting stakeholder comments to address disparities in new drug approvals. While the first applicant must conduct full local clinical trials and bioequivalence studies, subsequent applicants gain approval based solely on chemical, pharmaceutical, and bioequivalence data. 4. India’s drug technical advisory board is reviewing a proposal to waive the loan license requirement for medical device sterilization. If approved, manufacturers with valid licenses (Form MD-3/4 or MD-9/10) could use licensed sterilization facilities (Form MD-3 or MD-9) without separate approval.
