The Gujarat High Court has upheld a ruling by the Customs Authority for Advance Rulings allowing duty free import of inshell walnuts by treating the product as “dietary fibre.” The decision confirms that inshell walnuts qualify for exemption from Basic Customs Duty under the Transferable Duty-Free Import Authorization (DFIA) scheme.
