The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SDRC) of Chandigarh, India has set aside an order against a plastic surgeon for medical negligence allegation for unsatisfactory results under a liposuction procedure. SDRC ruled that unsuccessful treatment does not amount to negligence unless there is clear proof of deviation from clinical standards.
